Project Heal is a not-for-profit 
organisation that works to provide financial funding for treatment for individuals with an eating disorder. It originated in the USA, where Liana Rosenman and Kristina Saffran met while undergoing eating disorder treatment. After recovering, they decided they wanted to help other sufferers recover too. Thus, Project Heal was born. Project Heal now has over 30 chapters across the globe and has now landed in Australia!
I was recently approached by Sydney’s fabulous chapter leader Nicole, to be involved with Project Heal. As a therapist working in the eating disorder field, it is an unfortunate reality that the cost of treatment is often a barrier to sufferers seeking and obtaining treatment. Knowing how often this occurs, I couldn’t say no to Nicole’s proposal! I now have the great privilege of serving as a board member for the Sydney chapter of Project Heal.
