This month is mental health awareness month. Not only this month, but every day we should be checking in with ourselves and those around us. Mental health is not visible and it is important to acknowledge that a lot of the time, individuals mask or minimise their emotions due to the fear of the response that may be received when reaching out.
Lets change the narrative and break the stigma around mental health and come together as a community to bring awareness and normalise talking about how we may be feeling no matter the extent. This mental health awareness month we want to encourage individuals to seek help if needed and emphasise that this does not make one weak or any less. There are a number of resources, information and professionals that are able to assist.
This Mental Health Awareness month, BodyMatters are challenging you to make 3 changes to your day-to-day routine that will better your wellbeing. Tag us on Instagram at @bodymattersau with the hashtag #three4me and tell us what changes you will be making to improve your health.
