Paediatrician

Dr. Hattle, MBChB DCH FRACP, is a consultant paediatrician with a special interest in restrictive eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) as well as neurodevelopmental conditions Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Autism. She completed her undergraduate medical training in South Africa before moving to Australia where she continued her specialist training in paediatrics across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals network.


Dr. Hattle worked for two years as Adolescent Fellow at Sydney Children’s Hospital and at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, treating children and adolescents with substance misuse as well as eating disorders and accompanying mood and anxiety conditions. She has a passion for helping young people who are struggling at the crossroads of adolescence and adulthood.


Dr. Hattle has attended training in family-based therapy for eating disorders, to support the work of the psychologists, parents and the young person in their recovery. She seeks to understand each unique patient and their family.

Dr. Hattle treats young people from school age (Kindergarten) to 18 years. Conditions seen include Anorexia nervosa, ARFID, ADHD, autism, anxiety disorders and depression. Dr Hattle is a paediatrician and will regularly refer patients to allied health clinicians as well as psychologists and psychiatrists and enjoys working in collaboration with her colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team.
