Hayley is a warm and compassionate provisional psychologist at BodyMatters. She practices from a client centred approach always meeting clients at their stage of change.
Hayley has a special interest in working with eating disorders including ARFID, subclinical disordered eating and body image concerns. She is passionate about helping people of all ages, genders, shapes, sizes, abilities and cultures improve their relationship with food and their body. Her therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Maudsley Family Based Therapy (FBT), mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
Over the past 12 years Hayley has worked in private practice consultation across the lifespan, health coaching in both private and government run programs, and provided group and corporate education sessions.
Hayley is also an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and member of Dietitians Australia. She has been specialising in the medical nutrition therapy for eating disorders and mental health nutrition and brings this knowledge and expertise to her counselling.
Her qualifications include a BSc(Nutrition and Psychology), Msc(Nutrition and Dietetics), Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and is currently undertaking her Master of Professional Psychology. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is registered with AHPRA as a provisional psychologist. She is also a current member of the Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) and is a verified Health At Every Size (HAES) provider.
