Madalyn has experience in psychological assessment and intervention with specific skills working with clients across a range of ages presenting with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and personality disorders.  Madalyn believes that the relationship between a client and therapist is the most robust predictor of therapeutic outcomes. She works collaboratively with her clients, tailoring treatment to meet their individual needs, using evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing . Madalyn supports the Health at Every Size Approach (HAES) and works from a non-dieting framework.

Madalyn has a longstanding interest in eating disorders and body image concerns and is passionate about restoring her client’s relationship with food, exercise and their body in order to improve their overall quality of life. Madalyn is also passionate about changing the current culture of unrealistic and rigid standards of beauty, an obsession with being thin, the constant searching for quick fix solutions and the loss of trust in one’s own body.

Madalyn will be on maternity leave until August 2019.
