Clinical Psychologist Registrar
Phoebe is a clinical psychology registrar who utilises a collaborative, warm and friendly approach to therapy. She recently completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra and is conducting a PhD study investigating the effectiveness of schema therapy in treating eating disorders.
Phoebe is passionate about supporting those with body-image, eating and weight-related concerns in their journey towards sustained recovery. Phoebe has experience working with body image issues and eating disorders as well as commonly co-occurring difficulties such as anxiety, depression, perfectionism and trauma. She draws from several evidence-based therapies including enhanced cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT-E), schema therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Above all else, Phoebe values individualised and client-centred treatment approaches to help her clients address their symptoms and the underlying causes of their mental health concerns. She uses her warm nature to provide an inclusive, adaptive, and welcoming environment for her clients to improve their mental health. Her approach to therapy embraces each person’s uniqueness and she is committed to providing care that is neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
