Shweta is a Psychotherapist, who also holds a Masters in Psychology and is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. Her love of understanding and learning about people’s behaviours and emotions, has led her to a career as a therapist with a strong focus on helping people to better understand themselves and their relationships.

Shweta is a warm, compassionate and engaged therapist who draws on an integrative approach which includes Person-centered, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and also incorporates Solution-Focused and Narrative techniques. Her belief in the importance of listening and responding to each person’s unique story has led her to develop a therapeutic style tailored to individual client needs. It is collaborative; based on an ethos of respect for client’s values and beliefs; and focused on working closely with a client to help realise their desired outcomes.

She has a particular interest in eating disorders and helping clients uncover the underlying beliefs that may be driving behaviours and feelings associated with disordered eating and body image issues. She also has experience of supporting clients with a range of issues such as low self-esteem & self-confidence, anxiety, depression and grief.

Shweta strongly believes in the power and inner confidence that comes with knowing oneself and is passionate about enabling clients to achieve a deeper self-understanding. She works with clients to help resolve behaviours, feelings and beliefs which may be causing problems and difficulties in their life, supporting them to make lasting changes and form strong genuine relationships with others.

Shweta sees clients on Monday and Thursday afternoon/ evenings.
