Endangered Bodies Australia has announced their inaugural Australian summit, following summits that have been held internationally- namely in New York & London.
The Australian summit has a line up of amazing speakers. We are privileged to have author and psychotherapist Susie Orbach as the key note speaker. You may remember Susie’s presentation last year when she was in Australia? Susie will speak compassionately about body image and the tremendous pressure that women, in particular, are under to look “perfect” as the body continues to be commoditised.

Advocate and social commentator Melinda Tankard Reist will be speaking about the industries who profit and capitalise from promoting body anxiety. As co founder of Collective Shout Melinda has a wealth of experience in grass roots advocacy, holding businesses to account for advertising that objectifies and sexualises women and girls. Our very own psychologist, Sarah McMahon will present a case for an alternative, health based paradigm. And finally the amazing Rick Kausman will leave the audience with a practical alternative to dieting.
