New Updates to Butterfly’s National Helpline Process

Butterfly, Australia’s national charity dedicated to supporting individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns, has made a positive change to its National Helpline services. This improvement aims to streamline communications and better serve the community.

To enhance communication, Butterfly has replaced the email support system with a simple, easy-to-use webform. This change is designed to simplify how people can get in touch and ensure faster, more organised responses to their concerns. While the webform replaces the previous support@butterfly.org.au email, you can still reach out via the Butterfly National Helpline at 1800 ED HOPE (1800 33 4673) or access the webchat service, available 7 days a week, 8 am to midnight (AEST/AEDT). You can access the new webform here: https://butterfly.org.au/get-support/helpline-email/.

The Butterfly National Helpline continues to offer confidential and compassionate support for anyone impacted by eating disorders, including parents, carers, adults experiencing eating disorders, and healthcare professionals. Whether through a phone call or webchat, you’ll have access to qualified mental health professionals who specialise in eating disorders and body image issues.

By updating the contact information on your platforms and sharing this change with your networks, you’ll help ensure that those who need support can easily access Butterfly’s valuable services. For more information on Butterfly’s Telehealth services, visit www.butterfly.org.au.

We encourage you to reach out to Butterfly for support. If you are not currently receiving professional treatment, please contact us directly at BodyMatters to arrange an appointment with one of our psychologists, dietitians, or paediatricians.
