psychologist for eating disorder management and treatmentMonica is a provisional psychologist with a special interest in eating disorders. Monica has a warm and empathetic therapeutic style and takes pride in treating the “whole person” to best support clients in meeting their individual goals. In particular, Monica believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the core of effective treatment, ensuring that clients feel heard and supported every step of the way.

Monica completed her PhD in Psychological Medicine at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience, King’s College London. Monica’s PhD research investigated novel treatment approaches for bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder, and her later postdoctoral research focused on advancing knowledge of brain functioning in anorexia nervosa. During her time in London, Monica trained with world-
leading eating disorders experts including Professor Janet Treasure OBE and Professor Kate Tchanturia.

Monica is currently completing the final year of her Master of Clinical Psychology degree at Macquarie University.
