Jessy is a kind and compassionate practitioner who values the genuine relationships that can be formed through the power of sharing lived experiences. This is where Jessy has brought her own passions into hosting and producing the ‘Understanding Body Matters Podcast’ after it was so wonderfully crafted by Madison Pribula.

Jessy has a background working in healthcare where she has now become very enthusiastic about providing a holistic approach to overall health and wellbeing. Particularly interested in looking at people within the context of family, groups, communities, and society. Jessy utilises a person- centred approach to practice that employs strengths-based approaches, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed care. She also uses evidence- based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution- Focused Therapy.

Jessy is an advocate and supporter of people within the LGBTQIA+ community. Where Jessy hopes to raise awareness for those who struggle with the experiences of eating disorders. Understanding that anybody can battle with the experiences of an eating disorder regardless of age, race, sex, weight, or status.

As someone with a lived experience of an eating disorder, Jessy truly believes in the fight towards living a life free from the presence of an eating disorder. Hoping to assist people in navigating the complex challenges that eating disorders can have on the lives of individuals and families. Supporting those to feel empowered in a way that enables people.
